Anne M. Wells is the writer, editor and publisher of the two parenting
books, RAISING BABIES in St. Louis: An Expert & Real Life Guide
for New and Expectant Parents and RAISING KIDS in St. Louis: The
Essential Guide for the Mindful Parent. A journalist for more than
14 years, Wells combined her love of parenting with her love of

these unique publications that feature hundreds of interviews
with St. Louis doctors, educators, parents, specialists, athletes,
artists, and others. To date, nearly 30,000 copies of her books
have been sold and distributed throughout the St. Louis area.

Wells
is a media consultant and featured expert on Fox 2 News'
new web site for mothers called STLMOMS.com. The site officially
launches in December 2007.
Additionally Wells works as a publishing and marketing
consultant. She has helping bring to market such books as Milestones & More
by Schneity Kids, LLC and Petalwink Learns to Fly by Three Trees
Inc. Prior to her recent move to the East Coast, Wells wrote a
quarterly column for West County Kids magazine and spoke at various
venues around St. Louis including schools, health expos, publisher
association meetings and others.
Prior to the launch of her two books, Wells worked
as the vice president of marketing for a biomedical company where
she lead
the campaign to introduce a new, state-of-the-art newborn hearing
screening device to the national medical marketplace. She worked
as a marketing specialist for the Center of Contemporary Arts (COCA)
in St. Louis (www.cocastl.org), specifically helping to build out
the early arts education program for families with small children.
During the “DotCom” era, she worked as the communications
director Haystack Toys.com where she helped lead two “Great
American Toy Hunts” in major metropolitan areas across the
country in search of the world’s next best toys. Prior to
that, she worked as a copywriter for the international PR agency
Shandwick and as a writer and editor for The Parenting Group in
both San Francisco and New York City, specifically helping to re-launch
the company’s BabyTalk magazine.
Wells graduated from Kenyon College in 1993 and
attended the University of California at Berkeley’s Graduate
School of Journalism in 1995. Currently, she serves on the board
of TEAM Tanzania, a
non-profit that leads AIDS Education and leadership initiatives
throughout East Africa
